Arunachalam R. Lakshmanan (22 March 1942 – 27 August 2020) was a judge of the Supreme Court of India . He studied in Chennai . Before his elevation to the Supreme Court in 2002, he served as a judge on the Madras High Court and Kerala High Court . He was also appointed as Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court in 2000 and Andhra Pradesh High Court in 2001. He retired in 2007.
